Welcome to Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital
Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences is a private Medical College started in the year 2012-2013 with an intake of 150 seats and later it was increased by 200 seats with the kind permission given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as per the recommendations of the Medical Council of India. The College and the Hospital are situated in a sprawling campus and has a total built-up area of 10 acers comprising of 4 buildings. The College is equipped with Air Conditioned Lecture Halls with multimedia audio-visual aids and well equipped demonstration rooms and Laboratories attached with a 1190 bedded Teaching Hospital located at Suraram, Ranga Reddy District as per NMC norms. Our teaching staff consists of many renowned professionals from all over India.

The Dean and his academic team are instrumental in development of congenial platform for exchange of ideas among students to create and sustain the learning environment in the Institute.

PathologyTraining the UG students to provide comprehensive knowledge about the mechanisms & cause of the disease in order to enable them to achieve complete understanding of the natural history and clinical manifestations of diseases. To provide necessary laboratory services including Hematology , Clinical pathology, Cytology & Histopathology in the Hospital. Conduction of clinicopathological conferences and Academic Programs to update the knowledge of our faculty and have a correlation with clinicians. Planning to conduct 2 CME’s per year.

MicrobiologyThe staff of this department always strives hard to make the students understand the subject of microbiology. It is prime mission to have many ranks by our students at university examination.Within a span of 4-5 yrs, this department shall be able to start Post-graduate course. All effects are put in to see that this department will be fully equipped to start P.G courses.Department Library cum Seminar room has 100 books on different branches of microbiology and a overhead projector for seminar purposes.

There is enough equipment for conduction of practical’s in clinical pharmacology, animal experiments are shown by computer simulated technique.Students are given training in writing prescription to common diseases and also trained in problem based learning in clinical cases.

forensicForensic medicine is one of the curriculums of medical course in the second MBBS examination. This subject deals with the application of medical and paramedical knowledge to aid in the administration of justices in the court. This subject is closely associated with different functionaries of police department , legal department and judiciary. It is also interrelated with many other subjects of medical curriculum like forensic pathology, forensic toxicology, forensic psychiatry, forensic odontology, forensic radiology, forensic ballistics and forensic sciences etc.. the major share of forensic medicine is dealing with postmortem examination of different types of death with their different causes and medico legal nature.

First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) are crucial skills that can save lives in emergency situations. First aid involves providing immediate care to a person who has been injured or suddenly taken ill, while CPR is a lifesaving technique used to revive someone whose heart has stopped beating.
Learning first aid and CPR can help you respond effectively to a wide range of medical emergencies, including heart attacks, strokes, choking, and injuries. These skills can be applied in various settings, such as at home, in the workplace, or in public spaces.
In this session, we will cover the basic principles of first aid and CPR, including how to assess a situation, provide initial care, and perform CPR if necessary.
This half day Basic First Aid course equips the learner with the knowledge, practical skills & understanding required to provide appropriate first-aid treatment for injuries and sudden illness until medical professionals arrive to take over. First aid training helps staff learn to be more conscious regarding safety in the workplace. It leads to a reduced number of accidents and injuries.
