The staff of this department always strives hard to make the students understand the subject of microbiology. It is prime mission to have many ranks by our students at university examination.Within a span of 4-5 yrs, this department shall be able to start Post-graduate course. All effects are put in to see that this department will be fully equipped to start P.G courses.

Department Library cum Seminar room:
Department Library cum Seminar room has 100 books on different branches of microbiology and a overhead projector for seminar purposes.

Practical Hall:
Practical hall is most modern having all facilities for 90 students with 90 microscopes, having adjacent preparation room with storage facility.

Museum:
Bacteriology 35, Parasitology 22, Mycology 21 specimen, 80 charts, 96 models, 15 catalogs of each 140 pages . Department office is provided with a computer operator with 2 systems.

Diagnostic laboratory:
Diagnostic laboratory is situated in hospital. Central lab has serology section on 1st floor and other service sections—Bacteriology (aerobic, anaerobic), Parasitology, Mycology, Immunology, Media preparation are situated on the 4th floor. The labs are provided with computerized report generation, sample receiving section and report dispatch sections.

National Programmes:
RNTCP-MOT for tuberculosis, FICTC- PPP for HIV, and STP programmes are under taken.

Research Laboratory:
A well equipped research laboratory is established in the department (in college) with all equipments and other facilities to carry out research work on various topics. Research projects are under way. Six ICMR STS projects are submitted for year 2013-2014.
