Feedback Analysis
The Institute has a practice of collecting structured feedback for design and review of syllabus from the stakeholders such as Teachers, Students, Alumni, Parents and Employers. Matters related to relevance of objectives and outcomes, flexibility of the content, relevance of the content to changing technological and societal needs, teaching-learning procedure, and the use of infrastructural facilities for developing requisite skills, knowledge and attitudes are incorporated in the feedback forms. The feedback collected from the stakeholders is used to create a more conducive academic atmosphere and to fill the gaps in the curriculum in relation to student needs, job market and industry needs. Feedback is being used to develop and provide infrastructure facilities to the students, smooth conduction of the institution, improve the teaching skills of the faculty, improvement in placements, encouraging students to improve their subject knowledge, etc.
Feedback is being taken from all stakeholders every year. It is being taken from the students twice a semester. The feedback is received on various aspects related to teaching skills, subject knowledge, methodology, encouraging the students and facilities. Taking feedback from the students helps not only in structuring the syllabus effectively but also in improving faculty’s teaching skills as well as subject knowledge.
Feedback is also being taken from the parents during Parent-Teacher meetings which are organized by the departments. The feedback from the parents is also used in designing and reviewing of the syllabus.
Feedback is also taken from the alumni whenever the alumni meet is conducted or if any of the Alumni visits the institute. While taking the feedback, the emphasis is made on Curriculum and Infrastructure facilities. Based on the feedback given on curriculum, the BOS will make appropriate changes in the curriculum. Infrastructure facilities are added taking feedback into consideration.
Our institute also takes feedback from Employers. The employers give suggestion to syllabus design based on developments in the technology and requirements of the job market and the industry. As the BOS consists of Industry nominee, these suggestions are put forth in the meeting and necessary changes will be made in curriculum.
